If you lend a good friend something and she (may have) broken it...?

I live in New York City, and the combination of a heavy rotation of houseguests and a tiny Manhattan apartment has made an inflatable mattress an invaluable investment.

Recently, a few friends stayed over me house cuz it was too late to go home and they were a bit drunk. I let the couple sleep in my bed, and me and my friend crashed in the living room. I on the couch and she on the air mattress. Anyway when the couple woke up, they asked me to borrow the air mattress cuz they%26#039;d have a couple of guests in town. A week later, when I went over their house for dinner, I noticed the mattress deflated in the living, and I asked them why they hadn%26#039;t use it. They sheepishly admitted that it was broken.

Here%26#039;s the dilemma. They said that they tried to inflate it when they got home, but there was a leak somewhere, so the guests just crashed on the couch and floor. I%26#039;m fairly certain that it wasn%26#039;t broken when I gave it to them, after all I just used it! Could it have broken in transit?

Yes let them buy you a new one and then if they still need to use it, or will need it in the future offer to lend it to them.

get back with big R if you have any more issues, hell you may go as far as to add me if you want,oh yah add big R!|||Let them replace it. They wouldn%26#039;t have offerred to replace it unless they damaged it. Accept their offer graciously and then forget about it.|||honest i not worried about it,,,, i not let something a small as a air mattress come between friends,, an it easy to replace,,,,,, we do a lot of campping, an after they been air up some many times they get thin,,,
