Whats Wrong with Cash? loan
what are hives?|||Could be an allergic reaction, could be a skin condition, take him to the emer vet.|||allergic reaction to something|||Hmmm, I think he has Hives|||Probably allergic to something, like an insect bit, or ate something he shouldn%26#039;t have. If it is serious, get in touch with your local SPCA and see if they can recommend an emergency vet clinic.|||No one can tell for sure, he does need to see a vet, but if it is an allergic reaction, you can give him some liquid Benadryl - that has helped my dogs when they had allergies.
Give the dose according to weight. It will calm the itching and probably make him a little sleepy, won%26#039;t do any harm.
I give my 20 lbs. dachshund 1 teaspoon - but read the instructions on the Benadryl as to weight.
If your dog has swelling or trouble breathing, you do need to get him to an emergency vet - but the Benadryl could tide him over until your vet opens.|||See if there is an emergency vet that you can call (don%26#039;t just run in- call and see if they think you should wait) If not, call the vet first thing tomorrow morning. It could be an allergic reaction, and he should be seen ASAP. It is probably nothing too serious, but he still should get looked at. Until you can get him into the vet, keep a close ye on him. Don%26#039;t give him ANYTHING that you normally wouldn%26#039;t, never take medical advice online. There are too many things to consider, and you just can%26#039;t trust it. Only listen to your vet.
ADDITION: DON%26#039;T GIVE BENADRYL!!!!!! You never give human medications to animals, even over the counter medications and natural things for dogs can be dangerous! CALL A VET BEFORE GIVING ANYTHING!!!!!!|||Boxers are known to have issues with allergic reactions and hives. I have a link here that you should read.
Keep an eye on your dog and watch his breathing. Throat constriction is something to be very, very aware of. He could need emergency treatment....so do watch him!
http://iupucbio2.iupui.edu/bml/hivesfaqs...|||Allergic reaction. Could be from an insect bite or maybe he rubbed against a bush that was irritating to him. I would take him to the emergency vet so they can give him antihistamines and steroids to counter the infection. It%26#039;s better to be safe - you don%26#039;t want him having an anaphylactic reaction, where his throat can close off. Good luck!|||Hi.
Sounds like this may be an allergic reaction form something he has injested or come in contact with. Some reactions have the potential to be quite serious.
The Vet%26#039;s office might be closed, but there should be an emergency number.
Call it. You need the advice of a Vet.
Best wishes for Cash!|||it could be allergies or nerves. if he is itching you could use some Benadryl to relieve it some. i had a horse this happened to when we trailered her to the trainers ( 5 mi.) and she broke out in hives. it took a week for the bumps to go away.
