Last year for lent, I gave up talking..now I can't think of anything to top that this year..any

Not talking for 40 days was pretty fun..now I need something else like that, but not too rash.

Last year for lent, I gave up talking..now I can%26#039;t think of anything to top that this year..any suggestions?credit card debt

Look at your bad habits.

Are you cynical?

Are you sarcastic?

Do you gossip?

Find the one bad habit that hurts your relationship with God the most.

Work on that bad habit during Lent and then when Lent is over keep working on it.

With love in Christ.

I%26#039;m kidding, hmmmm If you play videogames, maybe you could give them up, or TV, or music.|||Why don%26#039;t you give up Y/A ?|||Give up wearing shoes. You%26#039;ll have to avoid places with those %26quot;no shoes, no shirt%26quot; signs, although you might be able to get them to make an exception since nobody wants to be sued for religious discrimination.|||God hates sin (fact) and while it may seem such a burden or heroic sacrifice to give up material things such as foodstuffs, confectionery etc, don`t you think that he would much rather each of us made a determined act of will to give up whatever personal sin we are attached and addicted to!

Judging, bad mouthing, telling lies,etc, there are many of us who turn a blind eye to our own inner weakness.|||give up your hearing or sight...you know maybe wear a blindfold or earplugs...it would make for an interesting experience.|||Since Lent is a time for repentance and fasting (in preparation for Easter) and a time to draw closer to God, it might be a good idea to eat only one meal per day (lunch or dinner) and to spend the time you would spend eating the other two meals in Bible reading, prayer, or praise. If you do that, you will understand the true meaning of Lent.|||air?|||Jesus was loosing his mind for Lent!

There is a serious dysfunction with God the Son Jesus Christ that can be detected in the Gospel of Saint John. Jesus goes on a few chapters long teaching on different subjects. He was getting so melancholically wrapped up in this last training class that he lost track of the questions that his disciples were asking him… All this took place one day during the Lent season...

John 13:36 (NIV) Simon Peter asked him, %26quot;Lord, where are you going?%26quot;

John 14:5 (NIV) Thomas said to him, %26quot;Lord, we don%26#039;t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?%26quot;

Jesus didn’t answer them, but towards the end of that training class Jesus is complaining that nobody is asking him where he is going!!!

John 16:5 (NIV) %26quot;Now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you asks me, %26#039;Where are you going?%26#039;

Was Jesus so depressed that he just couldn’t remember anything? I am sure he was!

Poor Jesus Christ! He was in the Garden of Gethsemane sweating drops of blood in desperate need of a comforter. Jesus was terribly scared to die for anybody! But God the Holy Ghost, a.k.a. “Another Comforter” was nowhere to be found! Instead an angel creature of God showed up (with a box of napkins?)

Luke 22:44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.

Hebrews 5:7-8 (NIV) During the days of Jesus%26#039; life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered

So you see, Jesus was really scared to die. Christians are sold on the idea that “Jesus did it all, but that’s not true! Saint Paul came along later on and finished whatever pain Jesus still had to suffer in his flesh...

Colossians 1:24 (NIV) Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ%26#039;s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.

God rewarded Saint Paul with the %26quot;STIGMATA%26quot;. He was the first Christian to get it.

Galatians 6:17 (NIV) Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

So thanks to Saint Paul Christianity is a thriving religion in the world today!|||Resolve not to say nor write a bad word about anyone. It might be more challenging as you would be permitted to talk and have to watch each and every thought you have before permitting it to be said or written.|||Give up complaining and negativity. If you really try this, you will be amazed at how often you %26quot;catch%26quot; yourself being negative or complaining. Most of us do it much more than we realize. By the time Lent is over, you will have become a much more positive person, which could have dramatic consequences in your life.
