Fellow Atheists, lend me your ears...?

Or in this case, your eyes :) Aside from the belief in god, what don%26#039;t you like about certain religions or organized religion in general?

Fellow Atheists, lend me your ears...?rate my

That%26#039;s a big list you%26#039;re asking. My top annoyances with them are that they state as fact what is only belief. They teach their children what they think is fact but it is only belief. They meddle in politics. They judge people. They threaten. They rip off gullible people. They scare children into believing...I could go on.

The hypocrisy mostly.|||Arrogance, ARROGANCE, and A-R-R-O-G-A-N-C-E.

And their tendency to think they%26#039;re better than everyone else is kinda annoying, too.|||I just don%26#039;t like it when they ignore reality. And create Psuedo Science. That bothers me a lot.|||-Baptism

-Jihad

-Veiling of women

-Female genital mutilation

-the Resurrection

-Creation myths

-Circumcision

-No gays

-No abortion

-Growing one%26#039;s hair

-Sutti (burning widows)

-Polytheism (I talking to you, Mormons)

-Scientology|||they%26#039;re making a fool out of the desperate and needy(old, sick, lonely, mentally/psychologically challenged) taking their money for a little bit of false hope.|||The doctrine that proclaims the message of the provocateur as superior|||That people waste their money on it.

That people are and have been harmed from it.

The Middle Ages, pretty much self explanatory|||They way it stifles the innocent minds of the young who will soon inherit the Earth.

These religious fruitcakes are happy to leave the world in the hands of the scientifically illiterate, who themselves have been taught religious bigotry, divisive religious dogma, misogynistic cultural values, and to embrace ignorance and dishonesty as a method of protecting their absurd beliefs..

Take GWB for example, who claimes god speaks to him, and so he acts accordingly. It%26#039;s a pity that his god lied to him about the alleged weapons of mass destruction in Iraq..

Scientific literacy is another victim of religious rhetoric, and which would otherwise be the very tool with which to address the health of the environment, and satiate the gift of exploration and the advancement of knowledge of the natural world..|||religions seem to serve the most shallow of human characteristics.... who is one person to think that people should be forced to sit and listen to them speak about something they really know nothing about while they proclaim themselves knowledgeable... Religions suck out the life and the truth from a community... and who should have to waste time listening to someone blow hot air... we have parents that do that...
